Privacy Policy
Notice pursuant to Articles 13-14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Last updated: October 2026.
Data controller
The data controller is Corradetti Edoardo Ditta Individuale, registered office at Via Roma 111, 64016 Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata (TE), VAT no. IT02163850676, which operates the ReadNoctis platform. For any request regarding personal data you can write to edoardo.corradetti@gmail.com.
Data processed and purposes
- Browsing and reading data — chapters read, pages viewed and advertising impressions, used to provide the service and calculate authors' compensation. Legal basis: performance of the service (Art. 6.1.b) and consent for the non-necessary statistical part (Art. 6.1.a).
- Authors' data — name, contact details, tax data and bank details necessary to pay compensation for the transfer of copyright. Legal basis: contract and legal obligations (Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.c).
- Cookies and similar technologies — described in detail in the Cookie Policy. Legal basis: consent, except for necessary technical cookies.
Data retention
Reading data and statistics are retained for the time necessary to report on compensation. Tax and accounting data are retained for 10 years, as required by Italian law. Cookie preferences are retained for a maximum of 12 months, after which you will be asked for renewed consent.
Recipients and transfers
Data may be processed by technical providers (hosting, advertising networks, payment services) appointed as data processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Any transfers to third countries take place only where an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.
Advertising (Google AdSense and Adsterra)
To show advertising, ReadNoctis uses Google AdSense, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google and third-party vendors, including its advertising partners, use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this and other websites. Ads are requested only after consent to the marketing category and are not shown on works marked as 18+.
To learn how Google uses data, see the page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ad Settings.
As an alternative to AdSense, ad spaces may be served by Adsterra, an ad network that displays banners from its own advertisers. In this case too, ads are loaded only after consent to the marketing category; Adsterra and its partners may use cookies and technical device data (such as IP address and browser type) to show and measure ads. More information in the Adsterra privacy policy.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15-22 GDPR), as well as withdraw your consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Minors
Some content published on the platform may deal with sensitive topics. The services are not intended for minors under 14 years of age without the consent of whoever exercises parental responsibility.
